Nick Riley
Deputy Director of the University of Hull Logistics Institute

After graduation at the University of Sheffield, Nick spent 10 years in technology research with Firstly Plessey and then with Marconi Research. He has been a senior member of staff at University of Hull for several years, and is currently Coordinator of the Communications Research Group – one of the largest research groups at Hull.

He has recently been responsible for significant research funding from government, and his teaching interests cover a wide range of communications topics including radio propagation and radio systems, signal and spectra, DSP, DAB and GSM. Nick has also worked extensively as a consultant to both commercial and government organisations.
